"Lisa's personal connection to the audience and sense of humour are infectious and intriguing. Her music can be serious while sometimes lighthearted, all with an international appeal that makes her a perfect fit for any venue"

Lisa's Story

Lisa Anderson’s silly, fierce, perky, and passionate indie-pop reflects the struggles and joys of embracing all life has to offer – the dark, the blissful, and the grey in between. Her pragmatic optimism and quirky humour weave through her lyrics to form moments of kinship with her listeners. In performance, Lisa accompanies her vocals with a keyboard, ukulele, and looper pedal, creating unique soundscapes that match her distinct view of the world.

Anderson has captivated audiences around the world with her “beautiful and powerful voice,” as described by Pablo Garcinuño of Spain’s Los 4 Palos Blog. Her self-titled debut album was sponsored and promoted by Spain’s nation-wide radio network Los 40 Principales. She has performed in Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Canada.

Lisa was a top ten finalist in the 2018 Canadian Songwriting Competition, was nominated for two YYC Music Awards, and performed at the 2018  Big Winter Classic Music Festival. She regularly performs around Canada and recently toured Europe in  June and July 2018 to promote her second album “A Hundred Lives”.

Interview with "The YYScene":
"A Hundred Lives…is a polished, lovely piano-pop offering that has — as Anderson sings in opening track Your Silence Says It All — her standing with her “heart in her hands.”...That said, to merely call the 11-track collection a dreary, one-note, Dear Diary breakup album is to do it an incredible disservice. It’s not — it’s an eclectic album that encapsulates a fertile and exciting period of time in the artist’s life."

Interview with "The Free Press":
"Returning home to Calgary in 2015, Anderson’s mind was fueled by her adventures and she was inspired to write; she shifted her gaze towards a new path as a musician. These tales, lessons, and ponderings from abroad have found their way into her music."
- Phil McLachlan, The Free Press (Canada)

Interview with Info Oggi (Italian):
"In a context that is so cynical, it is increasingly rare to come across an artist who knows how to innocently enjoy her passion, is driven only by the irrepressible need to cry out her emotions, and is still easily embarrassed by a sincere compliment."
-Maurizio Grimaldi, Info Oggi (Italy)
